Biography

Jonathan Taylor as Product Director, EMEA Prepaid and then International Director at First Data, was responsible for strategy, sales, new product development/roadmap, partnerships, negotiating, pricing and contracts as well as leading the local prepaid team. He rejuvenated First Data’s efforts in the EMEA region and in 2016 delivered over 27% growth in revenue with new clients and additional sales to existing clients.

Prior to First Data, Jonathan was Head of Product Management and Strategy (Director) for Barclaycard Commercial. He was responsible for all aspects of the commercial payment solution set. He delivered several key new product launches (single use virtual and travel products) to support the overall GCP strategy and helped achieve its significant double digit CAGR for 3 successive years. In the process, winning a number of industry awards.

Between 2006-2010, Jonathan was Director of Card Products at Neteller (now Paysafe Group) where he was responsible for developing, delivering and managing profitable card programmes. The Net+ Prepaid Card has been highly successful and included one of the earliest examples of Virtual Account Numbers/single use and has won several awards. In addition, he was also a key member of M&A team - advising on M&A strategy, due diligence for target businesses and subsequent business plans.

Previously, he was a member of the senior management team, running GE Money’s UK store and credit card business (2003-2006). As Client Director, he managed the P&L and B2B relationships for the largest part of the GE Money card portfolio. Key achievements included the negotiation of contract with Asda/Wal-Mart (biggest and most significant new client for many years) and the successfully delivery of several NPD projects.

Prior to GE, Jonathan held several senior roles within Abbey National Group (now part of Santander) including the divestment of credit card portfolio to MBNA, various strategic projects (savings, chip cards and corporate positioning) and sales management.
